Gathering Post
Costs 15 Wood and 5 Steel.
Size 3x2
Can be assigned with up to 10 Workers. Works from 8:00 to 18:00 by default, +1 Heat, gathers from all resource piles in a radius around it at a rate that is always superior overall to assigning labor to the resources directly. Can be placed within the Generator Build Zone.
Coal Pile: 12/hour for 100% Efficiency direct assignment, 14/hour for 100% Efficiency with a dedicated Gathering Post. This is 120 and1240 Coal on a 10-hour workday.
Wood Pile: 4/hour for 100% Efficiency direct assignment, 6/hour for 100% Efficiency with a dedicated Gathering Post. This is 40 and 60 Wood on a 10-hour workday.
Steel Pile: 1.5/hour for 100% Efficiency direct assignment, 3/hour for 100% Efficiency with a dedicated Gathering Post. This is 15 and 30 Steel on a 10-hour workday.
Steam Cores: 0.25/hour for 100% Efficiency direct assignment, 2/hour for 100% Efficiency with a dedicated Gathering Post. This is 2.5 and 2 Steam Cores on a 10-hour workday. Unaffected by difficulty.
For reference, compared to other scenarios, direct gathering is faster on Steam Cores, the same speed on Wood and Coal, but collects Steel less than 60% as fast as other scenarios. (2.67/hour vs 1.5/hour) The Gathering Post, meanwhile, is inexplicably worse at all tasks except it's proportionately slightly better at collecting Steel and is technically the same for Steam Cores but now this means it's worse than direct gathering of Steam Cores. Specifically, for Wood it drops from being 75% better than direct gathering to only 50% better, for Coal it drops from being 100% better to being less than 10% better (!!), while for Steel its absolute number is much worse (Dropping from 50 Steel a day to 30 Steel a day), but compared to direct gathering it's gone up, from being slightly less than a 90% increase in other scenarios to being a 100% increase in The Last Autumn.
The Wood collection nerf makes sense as Docks provide unlimited Wood Piles and a Gathering Post collecting from Docks would be only slightly worse than a Sawmill in raw speed if no change was made. The Steam Core thing is probably just an oversight, and it's not one that matters since you'll finish collecting your three starting Steam Cores in the morning of the second day, likely before you were even considering trying to arrange a Gathering Post for it. Steel's gathering rate is also sensible enough, and I appreciate the Gathering Post being a straightforward doubling rather than an awkward almost-90%. However, I'm very confused by the massive slashing to Gathering Post effectiveness at gathering Coal, where a Gathering Post is now barely any better than directly assigning labor to the Coal Pile; the way Frostpunk works, you might as well set up a Gathering Post over by the giant Coal piles at the bottom of the map at some point, but if eg you intend to set up a Reloading Station on a Docks Coal Pile, you're probably better off assigning Workers to harvest the Coal directly in the meanwhile rather than wasting time and resources on a Gathering Post you intend to render irrelevant.
While we're on the topic of direct gathering, I should also explicitly point out that in The Last Autumn Engineers cannot be assigned to direct gathering, only Workers. In general, Workers and Engineers have nearly no job overlap in The Last Autumn... but an important exception is for building construction and demolition, where Engineers are still able to do that. This is especially nice to be aware of in the earliest portion of a run, especially on higher difficulties, as eg on Extreme you'll have to wait for the workday to start before you can do more than lay some roads, but your uselessly idling Engineers can handle constructing your first buildings during daylight hours, no need to peel Workers off the harvesting.
Resource Depot
Costs 20 Wood and 10 Steel
Size 3x2
Can be assigned any of Coal, Wood, Steel, Raw Food, or Food Rations. Instantly increases storage capacity of the selected resource by 300, except for Coal which instead increases by 900. Can be placed within the Generator Build Zone.
This is vastly less important than in other scenarios due to the hilarious jank surrounding the Generator construction materials, but you'll probably need a few eventually regardless. For one thing, The Last Autumn's setup makes it unusually desirable to be able to stockpile food, which doesn't have any way to cheat storage.
It's also actually directly improved compared to other scenarios, as its cost is halved, making it much less of a burden to fit in Resource Depots.
Speaking of the Stockpiles!
Stockpiles
Size 5x2
Conceptually where all your initial storage capacity of 900 Coal, 300 Wood, 300 Steel, 300 Raw Food, 300 Food Rations, 300 Steam Cores, 100 Structural Profiles, 100 Steam Exchangers, and 100 Steel Composites comes from. In practice, eats space just outside the Generator Build Zone and doesn't really do anything.

Basic Docks
Costs 25 Wood.
Size N/A
Manned by up to 10 Workers, working 8:00 to 18:00 by default. Can produce Wood, Steel, or Coal, creating a pile of such nearby and then filling it up. Produces 16 Wood per hour at 100% Efficiency, 9 Steel per hour at 100% Efficiency, and 30 Coal per hour at 100% Efficiency. Regardless of type, a pile stores a maximum of 300 units of its resource type. The Basic Docks may only be placed at arbitrarily designated locations, and competes for these slots with the Fishing Harbor.
Note that this is simply worse than a Coal Thumper at Coal production. (56/hour for a Coal Thumper, vs 30/hour for Basic Docks) The only reason you might use the Basic Docks for Coal is because you can't get a Coal Thumper.
Also note that the Wood rate is less than half the Coal rate, that Coal gathering is only modestly faster than Wood gathering in The Last Autumn, and the Charcoal Kiln turns Wood three times as much Coal by default: there is a fair argument that it's better to gather Wood and assume you'll use a Charcoal Kiln to get Coal rather than directly shipping in Coal.
Several mechanics notes: first of all, once a resource has been assigned, switching to a new one is strongly undesirable, as the old pile will be deleted the instant the switch completes and also the Docks can't work for a fairly large number of hours. Unless you successfully clear a pile and switch in off-hours, this isn't great, and arranging that perfect scenario is a bit unlikely.
Second, the pile location is not previewed to the player when considering placing a Docks of any kind, and they can in fact block terrain for other buildings as they are placed on land.
Third, the 'per hour' number is in fact delivered in batches of that number. You don't have it trickle in over the course of the hour, you'll just suddenly have eg 9 more Steel.
Fourth, all tiers of Docks are not affected by difficulty. Note that your ability to gather from them is affected by difficulty, and so on higher difficulties you're actually more likely to want to eg only partially man the Docks.
I personally prefer to place two Docks at the closer shore slots and two Fishing Harbors at the farther ones: Fishing Harbors don't really care about their exact location, whereas Docks are overall more convenient if they're closer to your existing road network so Gathering Posts don't need a giant pile of roads to them. Perhaps more importantly, Fishing Harbors only need employees to actually travel to their location three times in the scenario: once to build, a second time to upgrade, and a third time to dismantle if you end up playing through the freeze. Docks meanwhile can be upgraded twice and will want up to 3 Reloading Stations apiece, meaning a Docks will need employees to walk to its area for construction/demolition purposes up to 15 times, even ignoring the possibility of Gathering Posts being built as an interim or supplemental solution.

Regardless of type, a pile stores a maximum of 300 units of its resource type. The Upgraded Docks may only be placed at arbitrarily designated locations, and competes for these slots with the Fishing Harbor. Upgrade to the Upgraded Docks and Basic Docks.
each Docks tier seems to split between locations, wasting anything that would go to a full pile. so eg upgrading from Upgraded to Advanced and ignoring the third slot will, on Steel, effectively go from 18/hour to 20/hour
